CrossFit has truly transformed my life in countless ways. I never imagined I could accomplish the movements I'm capable of today. Each time I step into the gym and tackle a WOD, I feel a profound improvement in both my physical and mental well-being. Amidst the challenges of the COVID lockdown, joining Stay Strong was a beacon of light. It allowed me to escape the confines of my home and the burdens of my own thoughts, immersing myself in the supportive community that surpasses any other gym I've experienced.

For me it’s maybe a little less concrete but when I was pregnant, I felt like nothing was within my control. Continuing to come to the gym kept me going because I felt like that was the only thing I honestly had. I could still come and do something, even if it was heavily modified. Even after my doctor told me I had to stop working out, just coming to hang out was a relief. Then going through this past year postpartum, going to the gym was such a break in the day and helped with confidence. So many people have been willing to keep Veida company at the gym so Ryan and I could just finish the workout. It’s something we’re both grateful for. The community, in the gym and out of it, has made a huge life transition much easier because I’m not sure we would have been as motivated or energized to continue working out as much as we have if we didn’t have the support that we have at Stay Strong.
Been reflecting ALOT on my CrossFit journey lately because my 10 year CrossFit-aversary is coming up in June. But this week marks 7 years at stay strong! What a journey it has been. There are dozens of things I could talk about. The body confidence from gaining muscle. The friendships and community (especially the support over Covid). The challenging coaches and programming. The second to none community in the competition scene that is always the last ones there helping to clean up.
